# Introduction

There is no perfect system, but some systems are better than others when pursuing a goal. 

When designing a system, trade-offs have to be made between different values, like security vs. convenience, or security vs. system cost. We use the following design principles to guide our decision-making with the goal of building the most secure and usable key system on the planet.<br>
